Description

CalcinedPetroleum coke is a blackdark gray hard solid petroleum products, with a metallic luster, it was porous, and is made up of tiny crystals form carbon graphite body was granular, columnar or needlelike configuration. Petroleum coke component is a hydrocarbon, the carbon 90-97%, hydrogen 1.8%, also contains nitrogen, chlorine, sulfur and heavy metal compounds.

It is a carbonaceous solid derived from oil refinery coker units or other cracking processes. Other coke has traditionally been derived from coal.

Application:

The main use of Calcined Petrolum Coke is in the production of anodes for the Aluminum Smelting process. 70-80% of CPCis for the Aluminum Industry.The reason for use in TiO2 is for its oxidizing effect. Metallurgical Industry is the remaining major area where CPC is used.
